John Chester is a documentary filmmaker, TV director, and cinematographer that has worked on several well known films such as Rock Prophecies (PBS), Random 1 (A&E), and Jockeys (Animal Planet). When not working on film projects, Chester along with his wife focus their creative energies on running a 130 acre biodynamic orchard and livestock operation in Southern California.

He’s directed several documentaries and television series and was interested in redesigning his website to better meet the evolving needs of his film making business. We were hired to help him design, develop, and launch a new website that would showcase John’s portfolio of video works and provide a convenient way for him to manage the content.
We helped John design, develop, and launch a website using a highly customized WordPress theme. John wanted something that used a dark, modern, and clean design similar to what you might expect from someone in the film industry. It needed to provide a way for users to learn more about John’s experience and purchase Chester Film’s products. John also wanted to provide a convenient way for networks and fans to get in touch with him to ask questions, provide feedback, or discuss potential business opportunities.
First, we helped John select and customize a theme that was consistent with the design style he wanted for the website and that would showcase his work right on the homepage. We added a new background, built-in a section for featuring the various networks he worked with, and developed a few custom widgets to highlight some of his recent photography in the footer.
Next, we integrated links throughout the website so that fans could purchase his films or view them if they were available online. And last, but not least, added a contact page so that people could easily get in touch with him.
The result was a brand new version of the John Chester website that highlights John's amazing talents and has a design that is a good fit for his industry. John was very excited to launch the website and he received positive feedback almost instantaneously from his Facebook fans and website visitors on the new look and feel. We continue to provide ongoing support for his website.
Working with Branded Clever was a an absolute breeze. I'm a filmmaker so I tend to be all over the place with ideas as our process in editing a film can be very organic and lengthy. Somehow Damon was able to keep track of all of it. And in the end narrow me down to exactly what was working best. Words can not describe how thankful I am for his ability to channel my creative mania into something coherent!
